It seems cliche to say, but every year that passes by seems to get faster and faster. 2015 disappeared before my eyes, and though many wonderful things happened this year, I am also incredibly relieved to say goodbye to it.
Among the positives, 2015 was filled with amazing travels. I was fortunate enough to return to my favorite city, Barcelona, journey home to New York often, and visit friends in San Francisco. Plus, I think it’s worth mentioning, I returned from my beloved state of Israel two days before the new year.
2015 was also the year I finally took two gigantic leaps I’ve been wanting to take forever: getting a dog and starting a blog. I am constantly blown away by the support I receive on both accounts, and truly couldn’t feel more grateful.
At the same time, however, I faced a lot of challenges this year. I struggled a lot with my body image and my inability to turn down food. I dealt with difficult setbacks at work and lost a woman that was like a grandmother to me. These last few weeks have been especially difficult, but January 1st gives me new hope for all of the positive things to come.
As I look forward to the new year, I believe it is especially important to reevaluate my goals and recommit myself to them. There are so many things I would like to improve on in 2016, and I see no reason to limit myself to just one resolution– even if I have to fall short.
I welcome you all to join me on my mission of self-improvement and fill out my printable New Year’s Resolutions Mad Lib below! Feel free to hang it up so you can keep yourselves honest, and remember your goals even after January. I hope it sheds new light and helps you become a ‘goal digger’ in 2016!
P.S. I am amazed to have found a font that mimics my handwriting exactly. It’s even called ‘Bad Handwriting.’ Thanks, DaFont!
